Three-Meter Diving Results
INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Rowan University's
Sean Piacente took 12th place in the three-meter diving for All-America honorable mention at the NCAA Division III Championships on Wednesday. The national championships continue Thursday-Saturday, March 22-24 at the Indiana University Natatorium.
Piacente (sr. New City, NY/Clarkstown S.) compiled 465.50 points in the consolation final. His scores from his first five dives in the prelims carried over to the consolation round. Piacente's top dive was a forward 3 1/2 somersault pike for 58.90 points. He totaled 57.00 points with an inward 2 ½ somersault pike. With his seventh dive, he earned 46.80 points with a forward 2 ½ somersault pike. He also scored 46.50 points with a back 2 ½ somersault pike.
Piacente finished 11
th in the three-meter prelims with 464.20 points. His best score among the first five dives was an inward 1 ½ somersault pike for 44.10 points. He had 40.95 points with his fifth dive, which was a forward 1 ½ somersault 1 twist free.
Piacente advanced to the national championships after taking third place in the three-meter diving (526.65) at the NCAA Northeast/South Regional. He also finished sixth in the one-meter with 439.60 points. Piacente was the third diver of the six region qualifiers.
The 200 medley relay had a time of 1:32.88 and came in 17
th in the morning trials. The relay included

th in the 50 free with a time of 20.62.
John Tepper (sr. Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Atlantic County Institute of Technology) finished 26
th (4:33.82) in the 500 freestyle trials.
