GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University men's basketball team upset Ramapo College, 89-86 on Saturday afternoon.

Nick DePersia (sr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Haddonfield Mem.) scored 22 points, which included five three-pointers. Guard
DaRon Curry (sr. Deptford, NJ/Phelps School (PA)) contributed with a season-high 19 points. Guard/forward
Ramon Wright (sr. Newark, NJ/Irvington) recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Ryan Leger (so. Stone Harbor, NJ/Wildwood Catholic) added nine points while guard
Rob DePersia (sr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Haddonfield Mem.) grabbed seven boards.
The Profs are 5-3 overall and 2-3 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. The Roadrunners have a 7-2 record with a 3-2 conference mark.
Forward Rob Lewis (sr. Scotch Plains, NJ/St. Mary of the Assumption) totaled a game-high 28 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Kashaun Barnes (sr. Toms River, NJ/Manchester) produced 25 points and had six boards. Guard Rob McWilliams (jr. Blauvelt, NY/Tappen Zee) added eight points and nine rebounds.
In the final half, Barnes had a layup (9:18) and Ramapo trailed by two (67-65). Rowan followed with six straight points to lead 73-65 with 8:18 remaining. Forward Austin Kearny (jr. Monroeville, NJ/Gloucester County Christian) hit a three,
Rob DePersia sank two foul shots and Curry had one free throw in the run.
Nick DePersia's three (5:24) put the Profs ahead by 10 points (80-70). The Roadrunners answered with a 9-0 spurt to cut the deficit to one (80-79) at 3:18. Lewis scored five of the nine points.
Rob DePersia nailed a three-pointer (3:01) and Wright had two points at the line (2:08), which made the score 85-79. Lewis had a basketball and a foul shot (1:56) and McWilliams followed with a layup (0:56) to pull within one point (85-84). Wright smashed a dunk (0:34) and Lewis (0:21) made a basket. Guard
Connor Dickerson (fr. Marlton, NJ/Moorestown) hit two foul shots (0:17) and the Roadrunners missed a three-pointer at the nine second mark to end the game.
Rowan led the entire first half. Wright's layup at 13:34 gave the Profs an eight-point advantage. Their biggest lead was 11 points (32-21) at 8:37 after a layup by forward
Jonathan Hevalow (jr. Sicklerville, NJ/Atlantic Christian School). Ramapo battled back to trail by three (42-39) at 2:47 with McWilliam's jumper. Legler drilled a three (1:43) and Lewis sank two foul shots (1:24) to end the period. The Profs led 45-41 at the intermission.
Next week, Rowan travels to William Paterson University on Wednesday, Dec. 12 for an 8 p.m. conference game.
