Box Score BROOKLYN, NY – The Rowan University men's soccer team picked up its eighth shutout of the season with a 6-0 blanking of Brooklyn College on Monday evening.
The sixth-ranked Profs sit at 15-2 on the season and have won 10 consecutive games. The Bulldogs drop to 6-7-2.
Rowan tallied four goals in the first half and added two after the break. Midfielder
Kevin Pereira (jr. Allentown, NJ/Allentown) led the way with two goals. Forwards
Matt Hendrickson (so. Sewell, NJ/Clearview Reg.) and
Shane Doherty (jr. Delran, NJ/Delran) and midfielders
Tyler Logar (sr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) and
Kevin Primich (so. Allentown, NJ/Allentown) each hit the back of the net one time.
Midfielder
Jake Connors (sr. Manalapan, NJ/Manalapan) recorded two assists while midfielder
Modou Sowe (so. Harrison, NJ/Harrison) and backs
Zack Swarbrick (jr. Milton, DE/Cape Henlopen),
Ryan Logar (so. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) and
Brendan Macfarlane (jr. Ocean City, NJ/Ocean City) contributed with one helper apiece.
Goalkeepers
Erik Checkur (jr. Wantage, NJ/High Point Reg.) and
Kyle Dennis (jr. South Plainfield, NJ/South Plainfield) each played a half with Dennis making one save. Bulldogs' goalie Utku Tanritanir (so. Brooklyn, NY/Abraham Lincoln) stopped 10 shots.
The Profs head to Ramapo College for a conference game on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 12:30 p.m.
