GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University men's soccer team will host Montclair State University for the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championship on Friday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m.
 
The Profs are the second seed and have a 16-1-1 record. Rowan ended the regular season at 7-1-1 in conference play. The fifth-seeded Red Hawks are 15-5-1 overall and were 4-4-1 in the NJAC this season.
 
Tickets:
$5 for adults and $2 for children, students and senior citizens. The first 200 Rowan students with ID that bring a canned good for the "Cans Across the Conference" food drive will receive free admission.
 
What's At Stake?
The NJAC champion receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament. The tournament field will be announced on Monday, Nov. 7 at 1 p.m. on ncaa.com.
 
How They Got Here:
Rowan received a first-round bye in the conference tournament. The Profs dispatched the six seed The College of New Jersey, 1-0 in the semifinals. Forward Shane Doherty (so. Delran, NJ/Delran) scored the game-winner with 6:38 remaining. Goalkeeper Kyle Dennis (so. South Plainfield, NJ/South Plainfield) stopped four shots for his sixth shutout.
 
Montclair State won its first-round matchup at the fourth seed Rutgers-Camden, 4-2. Midfielder Lucas Terci (sr. Union, NJ/Union) registered a hat trick and midfielder Mike Olla (sr. Bloomfield, NJ/St. Benedict's Prep) had the fourth tally. In the semifinals, the Red Hawks upset top-seeded Rutgers-Newark, 2-0. Forward Steven Zamudio (sr. North Bergen, NJ/North Bergen) and Terci were the goal scorers. Goalie Mike Saalfrank (so. Ramsey, NJ/Ramsey) picked up his fifth clean sheet with nine saves.

Rowan leads the all-time series, 33-30-6. The schools have met six times in the NJAC postseason, with each squad winning three times.
