GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University men's swimming & diving team won 175-59 against William Paterson University on Friday night.
The Profs took first place in all 11 individual events and they were the winner in the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:39.26.
Luke Wister (sr. Haddon Heights, NJ/Haddon Heights),
Matt Grubb (fr. Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview Reg.),
Eric Feuerstein (jr. Absecon, NJ/Holy Spirit) and
Anthony Czar (sr. Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Egg Harbor Twp.) were on the relay.
Rowan has a 3-0 record and William Paterson is 5-3 on the season. It was the first conference meet for both teams.
John Morris (sr. Bridgeton, NJ/Cumberland Reg.) took first on the one and three-meter boards. Morris totaled 315.53 points in the one-meter and 322.13 points in the three-meter.
Sean Piacente (so. New City, NY/Clarkstown S.) and
Matt Barrasso (fr. Springfield, NJ/Jonathan Dayton) were second (307.28) and third (200.18) respectively in the one-meter diving. Piacente also had a second place (321.68) in the three-meter and Barrasso was third (180.30).
Paul Long (sr. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) came in first (2:00.21) in the 200 individual medley. Wister swam a winning time of 10:30.51 in the 1000 freestyle.
Jesse Novak (sr. Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) won the 50 (21.91) and 200 (1:48.77) freestyles. Feuerstein claimed first (4:58.37) in the 500 freestyle.
Adam Sicinski (so. Allentown, PA/Parkland) won (53.30) the 100 butterfly while
Nick Marks (sr. Wenonah, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) was first (1:02.63) in the 100 breaststroke.
John Tepper (jr. Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Atlantic County Institute of Tech.) had a first place (49.06) in the 100 free while
Nick Marte (jr. Fair Lawn, NJ/Fair Lawn) and
Jake Kayati (fr. Mullica Hill, NJ/Woodstown) were second (49.45) and third (49.59) respectively.
Rowan took first through third in the 100 backstroke.
Colin Fisher (jr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) was the winner (56.24), Czar came in second (56.66) and
Matt Schillaci (fr. Sicklerville, NJ/Glassboro) finished third (57.29).
Chris Boyle (sr. Springfield, NJ/Seton Hall Prep) had a second place (10:43.53) in the 1000 freestyle.
Nate Wojtowicz (so. Centreville, MD/Queen Anne's County) finished second (22.36) in the 50 free and
John Shellem (jr. Mount Laurel, NJ/Lenape) followed third (22.75). Wojtowicz also took second (4:58.72) in the 500 freestyle.
Eric Emerson (sr. Voorhees, NJ/Washington Twp.) was third (2:03.00) in the 200 individual medley.
Dan Lawton (so. Yardley, PA/Pennsbury) had a third place (5:09.68) in the 500 freestyle.
Rowan travels to conference opponent Ramapo College on Saturday, Nov. 12 for a 2 p.m. meet.
