Box Score MONTCLAIR, NJ – Forward Travis Ward recorded a hat trick and led the #3 Rowan men's soccer team to a 4-3 comeback victory over Montclair State University on Saturday night.
 
Ward (jr. New Egypt, NJ/New Egypt) scored the game tying and go-ahead goals in the second half to keep the Profs' unbeaten. He also put the Profs on the board with a tally in the first half.
 
Red Hawks' forward Mike Olla (sr. Bloomfield, NJ/St. Benedict's Prep) gave Montclair State a 2-0 lead with goals at the 7:24 and 25:25 marks in the opening half. Midfield Lucas Terci (sr. Union, NJ/Union) assisted on Olla's first goal. Ward cut the deficit in half when he hit the back of the net with 14:50 to play off an assist by forward Burak Ozdemir (so. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.).
 
Midfielder Jake Conners (jr. Manalapan, NJ/Manalapan) tied the match with 18:12 remaining in the second half with an assist from midfielder Alex Kardos (so. Yardley, PA/Pennsbury). Terci put Montclair State back in front at the 72:52 mark with a penalty kick. Ward knotted the match at three less then a minute later (73:31). Back Nick Schlageter (fr. Jackson, NJ/Jackson Mem.) and forward Shane Doherty (so. Delran, NJ/Delran) recorded the assists. Ward put the Profs ahead with 6:08 remaining off an assist by midfielder Tyler Logar (jr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.).
 
The Profs have an overall record of 11-0-1 and they are 4-0-1 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. The Red Hawks are 10-4 overall with a 2-3 conference mark. Rowan goalie Kyle Dennis (so. South Plainfield, NJ/South Plainfield) made four saves. Montclair State goalie Mike Saalfrank (so. Ramsey, NJ/Ramsey) stopped five shots.
