HOBOKEN, NJ – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's swim team won 155-107 over Rowan University on Saturday.
The 200 medley relay of
Alex Bambrick (fr. Caldwell, NJ/James Caldwell),
Bailey Howarth (fr. Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Egg Harbor Twp.),
Gabby Gligor (so. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) and
Miranda Coughlan (so. Sewell, NJ/Clearview Reg.) came in second with a time of 1:52.05. The 400 freestyle relay finished second in 3:43.77. The free relay consisted of
Polina Dineva (jr. Bayville, NJ/Central Reg.),
Julie Sheehan (sr. Haddonfield, NJ/Haddonfield Mem.),
Megan Miller (fr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.) and Coughlan.
Bambrick was the winner in the 1000 freestyle (11:17.40) and 100 backstroke (1:03.52). She also had a second place (2:17.03) in the 200 backstroke. Coughlan touched first (24.91) in the 50 free and she also won the 100 (55.03).
Sheehan was second (25.98) in the 50 free and fourth (56.27) in the 100.
Daria Mnich (fr. Clark, NJ/Arthur J. Johnson) took second (1:04.50) in the 100 backstroke.
Emily LaBenski (fr. Wenonah, NJ/Deptford Twp.) produced second places in the 100 breaststroke (1:10.82), 200 breaststroke (2:33.20) and 200 individual medley (2:18.00). Howarth finished third in the 100 (1:11.62) and 200 (2:35.63) breaststrokes. She also came in fourth (2:23.69) in the 200 individual medley.
Nikki Broome (fr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) had a second place finish (2:21.57) in the 200 butterfly while Gligor took second (1:01.74) in the 100 butterfly. Gligor also had a third place (2:23.11) in the 200 butterfly.
Carlee Timmins (fr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.) finished third (5:32.39) in the 500 freestyle and fifth (2:05.40) in the 200 free.
Amanda Burke (jr. Toms River, NJ/Toms River N.) took fourth (12:08.77) in the 1000 freestyle.
Claire McKissick (fr. Ellicott City, MD/Archbishop Spalding) was fourth in the 200 (2:05.38) and 500 (5:36.76) freestyles.
