Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University men's soccer team registered two second half goals to defeat Ramapo College, 3-1 in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) game on Saturday.
The 10
th-ranked Profs upped their record to 14-1-1 overall and 6-1-1 in the conference. With the victory, Rowan clinched a first-round bye in the upcoming NJAC Championship Tournament and will host a semifinal game on Tuesday, Nov. 1. The Roadrunners are 10-4-2 with a 2-4-2 conference mark.
Ramapo got on the board first just over 18 minutes in. Forward Ryan Campbell (so. Wyckoff, NJ/Ramapo) buried a free kick from 20 yards. The Profs responded at 32:00 when midfielder
Jake Conners (jr. Manalapan, NJ/Manalapan) sent a cross in from 30 yards away. The wind played into his favor as the ball sailed into the right side of the goal and the teams went into halftime tied at one.
Rowan took the lead with 18:20 to play in the second half. Conners took another free kick and the ball was punched out by the goalkeeper. Forward
Shane Doherty (so. Delran, NJ/Delran) was there to deposit the rebound for a 2-1 Profs advantage.

Nick Schlageter (fr. Jackson, NJ/Jackson Mem.) provided an insurance tally with 7:57 on the clock. He headed in a corner kick by Conners.
Goalkeeper
Kyle Dennis (so. South Plainfield, NJ/South Plainfield) made five saves for the victory. Ramapo goalie Ryan Sprague (jr. Bayonne, NJ/Bayonne) stopped two shots.
Rowan closes out the regular season at The College of New Jersey on Wednesday, October 26 at 8 p.m.
