Box Score MAHWAH, NJ – The Rowan University women's volleyball team had a 3-0 loss at Ramapo College in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) match on Tuesday.
The Roadrunners improve to 21-3 on the season and stay undefeated in the conference with a 7-0 record. The Profs are 7-18 with a 3-4 NJAC mark. The set scores were 26-24, 25-17 and 25-15.
Outside hitter Larysa Iwaskiw (jr. Westwood, NJ/Immaculate Heart Academy) led Ramapo with 21 kills and added seven digs. Defensive specialist Natalia Saavedra (sr. Brick, NJ/Union Catholic) tallied eight digs and libero/defensive specialist Kristen Behrens (so. Smithtown, NY/Smithtown West) had seven. Defensive specialist/libero Sarah Mulligan (jr. Manorville, NY/Eastport South Manor) and outside hitter/defensive specialist Karina Almeda (fr. Mahwah, NJ/Mahwah) chipped in with six digs apiece. Outside hitter Rachel Selmore (sr. Morristown, NJ/Morristown) contributed with 18 assists.

Erica O'Hagan (sr. Cedar Grove, NJ/Cedar Grove) produced 10 kills and five digs for the Profs. Outside hitter
Megan Jacobi (fr. Nazareth, PA/Nazareth Area) totaled six kills and six digs. Setters
Katelyn Paxson (fr. Long Valley, NJ/West Morris Central) and
Mary-Grace Testa (jr. Kearny, NJ/Mount Saint Dominic Academy) registered 17 and seven assists respectively. Defensive specialist/libero
Rebecca Dantonio (sr. Glen Mills, PA/Garnet Valley) had a team-high 11 digs.
In the first set, the score was tied at 20. The Roadrunners had four of the next five points to get within one point of clinching the set. However, Rowan battled back with three straight tallies to tie the score at 24. Iwaskiw followed with a kill then an attack error gave Ramapo the set.
The Profs held an 11-8 advantage in the second stanza but the Roadrunners notched six in a row and eight of nine to go ahead by four (16-12). Rowan cut the deficit to one (16-15) but Ramapo then went on a 9-2 run to win the second set. The Roadrunners captured the first seven points of the final set and never trailed en route to the victory.
Rowan heads to Susquehanna University for two matches on Saturday, Oct. 22. The Profs face the U.S. Coast Guard Academy at noon followed by the host River Hawks at 4 p.m.
