ResultsGLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University men's swim team had a 113-72 victory over York College (PA) on Saturday afternoon.
The Profs honored their two seniors,
Liam Tully (sr. Cedar Grove, NJ/St. Peter's Prep) and
Zac Wister (sr. Haddon Heights, NJ/Haddon Heights), prior to the meet. Rowan improves to 10-1 on the season while the Spartans have an 11-3 record.
The Profs won the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:30.62.
Matt Dieterle (fr. Somerdale, NJ/Sterling),
Steven Buzby (so. Linwood, NJ/Mainland Reg.),
Connor Buck (jr. Eastampton, NJ/Rancocas Valley Reg.) and
Patrick Myers (jr. Kennett Square, PA/Kennett) were on the relay. Wister had a winning time of 10:00.57 in the 1000 freestyle followed by
John Tepper (fr. Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Atlantic County Institute of Technology), second (10:13.22).
In the 200 free,
Chris Boyle (so. Springfield, NJ/Seton Hall Prep) took first (1:48.87) and
Nick Marte (fr. Fair Lawn, NJ/Fair Lawn) finished third (1:51.54). Buzby was the victor in the 50 freestyle (22.39) and Myers touched second (22.57).
Eric Feuerstein (fr. Absecon, NJ/Holy Spirit) swam a time of 49.41 for first place in the 100 free. In the 100 backstroke,
Brian Suatengco (fr. Toms River, NJ/Donovan Catholic) captured first (55.73) followed by
Luke Wister (so. Haddon Heights, NJ/Haddon Heights), second (56.68) and
Colin Fisher (fr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee), third (57.91).
Rowan was the runner-up (1:40.16) in the 200 medley relay with Buck, Myers, Feuerstein and
Sean Kennedy (fr. Blackwood, NJ/Highland Reg.). Buck had a second place (55.57) in the 100 butterfly and Marte came in third (55.62).
Jesse Novak (so. Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) took second (1:02.67) in the 100 breaststroke. Tepper produced a third place (49.80) in the 100 free.
Kyle Surette (jr. Martinsville, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) had the third-best time (5:12.71) in the 500 freestyle.
Next, the Profs compete in the Metropolitan Championships at Rutgers University from Friday, February 20-Sunday, February 22.
