Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ –The New Jersey City University men's basketball team came from behind to win 87-85 at Rowan University on Saturday afternoon.
Guard Jalen Harris (jr. Brandywine, MD/Gwynn Park) made two foul shots with one second left for the victory. He ended the game with 27 points. Forward Chinwe Wosu (sr. Jersey City, NJ/University Academy Charter) recorded a double-double with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Center Yuri Brutus (fr. Roselle Park, NJ/Roselle Park) contributed with 16 points off the bench. Guard Ata Robinson (jr. Newark, NJ/East Side) dished seven assists.
The Gothic Knights are 5-2 overall and 3-0 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. The Profs have a 2-7 record with a 0-3 conference mark.

Shawn Wilson (jr. Pleasantville, NJ/Pleasantville) produced a game-high 28 points. He also grabbed eight boards. Guard
Rob DePersia (fr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Haddonfield Mem.) registered 17 points and guard
Kris O'Connor (sr. Mount Laurel, NJ/Paul VI) had 14.
Rowan started the second half with a 10-point advantage (42-32). DePersia hit a three at 16:16 and the Profs were ahead 54-41. NJCU recorded 12 unanswered points and trailed by one (54-53) with 13:26 remaining. Harris made five points, Brutus followed with four and guard Khalid Muhammad (sr. Orange, NJ/Orange) added three.
Wilson sank two free throws (9:18) to lead 67-59. Brutus' layup at 6:58 cut the deficit to two (69-67) then his tip-in (5:56) tied the score at 71. Wilson nailed a three with 1:55 left and the game was knotted at 82. Wosu made a foul shot (1:38) and Brutus had a layup (0:56), which put NJCU ahead 85-82. Wilson followed with two points at the line (0:44) and the Profs trailed by one. The Gothic Knights fouled and Wilson went to the charity stripe (0:15) again. He missed the first and hit the second to tie the score at 85 before Harris' winning free throws.
Next week, Rowan travels to The College of New Jersey on Wednesday, Dec. 9 for an 8 p.m. conference game.
