Box Score ANNVILLE, PA – The Lebanon Valley College men's basketball team defeated Rowan University, 92-85 in the championship of the Rinso Marquette Tournament on Saturday.
The Dutchmen came back in the second half and scored 60 points after trailing 44-32 at the break. Lebanon Valley has a 3-1 record while Rowan is 2-3 overall.
Prior to the championship, Wilkes University won the consolation game, 68-50 against Penn State Abington. On Friday, Rowan had a 100-89 victory over Wilkes and Lebanon Valley defeated Penn State Abington, 84-72.
Forward Andy Orr (so. Wernersville, PA/Conrad Weiser) led the Dutchmen with 27 points and guard Sam Light (so. Jonestown, PA/Northern Lebanon) totaled 22. Guard Zach Mrozek (jr. Bloomsburg, PA/Bloomsburg) collected 14 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Travis Conrad (jr. Lewisburg, PA/Lewisburg) chipped in with 13 points. Orr and Conrad grabbed six boards apiece.

Kris O'Connor (sr. Mount Laurel, NJ/Paul VI) recorded a career-high 26 points and forward
TJ Booth (so. Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) also had a career mark with 15. Forward
Chris Gross (sr. Cranford, NJ/Roselle Catholic) and guard
Nick DePersia (fr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Haddonfield Mem.) each produced 10 points. Booth and DePersia were named to the All-Tournamnt team. Forward
Gary Carthan (jr. Bordentown, NJ/Bordentown Reg.) and Gross each pulled down six rebounds.
In the second half, Booth's layup at 14:54 made the score 50-42. Orr had a basket and the Dutchmen trailed by four (50-46) at the 14-minute mark. O'Connor scored six straight points and Rowan led 56-46 with 12:27 remaining. The Profs had a 10-point advantage three more times and the last one was at 8:14 (66-56) after Booth's jump shot. Lebanon Valley trailed 75-68 with 4:39 on the clock. The Dutchmen followed with a 17-3 run to go ahead 85-78 with 40 seconds left. Light contributed with seven points in the surge. Booth had a layup (0:20) and Rowan was down by five points (87-82). Lebanon Valley sank five of six free throws, which made the score 92-82 at the three second mark. DePersia hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to end the game. Orr led all scorers in the final period with 21 points and Light followed with 17. O'Connor registered 13 points for the Profs.
Next, Rowan starts its conference schedule on Tuesday, Nov. 24 home against Stockton University at 8 p.m.
