ResultsGLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women's swim team won 135-126 against conference opponent Ramapo College on Saturday.
The Profs improve to 2-2 on the season and 2-0 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. The Roadrunners have a 2-3 record and they are 0-2 in the conference.
Rowan took first place in the 400 medley (4:07.68) and 200 freestyle (1:40.01) relays. The medley relay included
Polina Dineva (so. Bayville, NJ/Central Reg.),
Olivia Wojtowicz (sr. Centreville, MD/Queen Anne's County),
Gabby Gligor (fr. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) and
Miranda Coughlan (fr. Sewell, NJ/Clearview Reg.).
Julie Sheehan (jr. Haddonfield, NJ/Haddonfield Mem.), Dineva, Gligor and Coughlan were on the free relay.
Wojtowicz won the 100 (1:09.68) and 200 (2:31.70) breaststrokes and the 200 individual medley (2:15.94).
Julia DelNero (sr. Spring Lake Heights, NJ/Red Bank Catholic) was the winner in the 1000 (11:18.50) and 500 (5:30.97) freestyles. Gligor touched first (2:25.92) in the 200 butterfly. She also finished second (1:01.79) in the 100 butterfly.
Amanda Burke (so. Toms River, NJ/Toms River N.) swam 2:19.20 in the 200 backstroke for first place. She took third (2:33.89) in the 200 butterfly. Coughlan finished second in the 100 (54.03) and 200 (2:01.99) freestyles. Sheehan was second (25.92) in the 50 free and third (5:47.58) in the 500 freestyle.
Dineva came in second (1:03.24) in the 100 backstroke and third (1:02.25) in the 100 butterfly.
Sam Wahl (sr. Collingswood, NJ/Collingswood) had a second place (2:35.61) in the 200 breaststroke and she was third place (1:14.15) in the 100 breaststroke.
Next, Rowan swims at Pace University along with St. Peter's University on Saturday, Nov. 21 at 1 p.m.
