Box Score CHESTER, PA – The Rowan University men's basketball team won 78-64 over Washington College (MD) in the consolation game of the Widener University Tip-Off for Autism Awareness on Saturday.

Chris Gross (sr. Cranford, NJ/Roselle Catholic) contributed with 12. Guard
Kris O'Connor (sr. Mount Laurel, NJ/Paul VI) chipped in with 10 points and nine rebounds. He was named to the All-Tournament team. Guard
Nick DePersia (fr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Haddonfield Mem.) added nine points and seven boards. Guard
Rob DePersia (fr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Haddonfield Mem.) dished seven assists.
In the first round on Friday, Salisbury University edged Rowan, 62-61 and Widener defeated Washington, 82-72. Salisbury had an 83-50 victory over Widener in the championship game.
For the Shoremen, forward Pat Morgan (sr. Havertown, PA/Haverford) scored a game-high 18 points. Guard Kevin McCormick (fr. Springfield, PA/Springfield) produced 12 points and guard Joey Shelton (so. Garnet Valley, PA/Church Farm School) followed with 11.
The second half started with Rowan ahead 38-36. The score was tied three times before the Profs took the lead for good. Carthan hit a three (16:58), which knotted the score at 46. Forward Kaiden Williams (fr. Elkton, MD/Caravel Academy) made the first of two foul shots and Washington had a one point lead (47-46). The Profs scored 12 straight points to go up 58-47 with 12:49 left. McCormick nailed a three at 9:12 and Washington trailed 60-51. Guard Josh Borelli (jr. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) made a three (8:28) and a layup (8:08). O'Connor followed with a jumper (7:05) and Rowan had a 16 point advantage (67-51).
Nick DePersia's three-pointer at 6:26 gave the Profs' their biggest lead of 17 (70-53).
Next, Rowan hosts Neumann University in the home opener on Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m.
