Box Score MAHWAH, NJ – The #25 Rowan University men's soccer team defeated conference opponent Ramapo College, 3-0 on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Profs have an overall record of 9-2 and they are 2-1 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. The Roadrunners are 5-5-2 overall with a conference mark of 0-3-1.
 
Rowan goalie Kyle Dennis (fr. South Plainfield, NJ/South Plainfield) made seven saves. Ramapo keeper Ryan Sprague (so. Bayonne, NJ/Bayonne) stopped 11 shots.
 
Midfielder Shane Kohler (sr. Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central Reg.) converted a penalty kick at the 16:25 mark to give Rowan a 1-0 lead. Midfielder Vinny Ignatowicz (jr. Toms River, NJ/Toms River S.) gave the Profs a 2-0 advantage, deflecting in a corner kick by back Shane Patterson (jr. Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview Reg.) with 35:35 on the clock in the second half. Forward Shane Doherty (fr. Delran, NJ/Delran) scored the Profs' final goal with 10:23 left.
 
Rowan concludes its three-game road trip on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at Swarthmore College. The game is scheduled for 5 p.m.
