Box Score WAYNE, NJ  – The Rowan University men's soccer team defeated William Paterson University, 3-1 in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) game on Saturday.
 
The Profs are 11-4 overall and 3-3 in the conference.  The Pioneers have a 4-7-2 record and a 1-4-1 NJAC mark.
 
Rowan had a 2-0 advantage after the first half.  Forward Jake Conners (so. Manalapan, NJ/Manalapan) scored at 22:12 after a pass from forward Travis Ward (so. New Egypt, NJ/New Egypt).  It was Conner's sixth goal on the season.  Back Kevin Primich (fr. Allentown, NJ/Allentown) finished a corner kick at 43:49 for the second tally and back Enzo Scala (so. Toms River, NJ/Toms River E.) had the assist.
 
Back Scherdlens Jean Pierre (sr. Irvington, NJ/Irvington) had William Paterson's goal (66:26) on a penalty kick.  Ward added an insurance marker with 1:50 remaining.  He has contributed with 17 points, six goals and five assists.
 
Prof goalkeeper Kyle Dennis (fr. South Plainfield, NJ/South Plainfield) stopped five shots.  For the Pioneers, Nico Martirano (sr. Madison, NJ/Madison) made five saves.
 
Next, Rowan plays at Brooklyn College on Monday, Oct. 19 at 6:30 p.m.
