Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University men's basketball team dropped a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) game to Richard Stockton College, 83-59 on Wednesday night.
The Ospreys move to 15-2 overall with a 9-1 NJAC record. The Profs have a 12-4 mark and they are 6-4 in the conference. Forward Josh Blamon (sr. Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson) recorded a game-high 23 points. Guard Armin Cane (jr. Pleasantville, NJ/Pleasantville) and forward Marcus Harmon (fr. Whitesboro, NJ/Middle Twp.) had 12 points apiece. Forward Anthony Woodard (sr. Atlantic City, NJ/Atlantic City) chipped in with 10 points. Guard Onnir Kendall (fr. Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) dished five assists.
Rowan forwards
Ike Robinson (jr. Trenton, NJ/Conwell-Egan Catholic (PA)) and
Chris Gross (jr. Cranford, NJ/Roselle Catholic) registered 13 and 11 points respectively. Gross also collected five rebounds. Forward
Daniel Waynick (sr. East Windsor, NJ/Hightstown) contributed with eight points and five boards. Forward
Mike Simpson (sr. Sicklerville, NJ/Winslow Twp.) and Robinson grabbed four rebounds apiece.
In the first half, Cane nailed a three and Stockton was ahead 13-4 (15:19). After a foul shot by guard
Kris O'Connor (jr. Mount Laurel, NJ/Paul VI) (14:51), the Ospreys went on an 11-0 run to lead by 19 (24-5) with 12:08 left. Blamon scored seven points, Cane had a layup and forward Carlton Whitehead (jr. Ewing, NJ/Life Center) converted a tip-in. Stockton had its largest advantage at 20 (30-10) after a triple from Harmon (9:31). Cane's layup at 7:01 made the score 32-13. Rowan followed with a 10-3 surge in 4:05 to cut the deficit to 12 (35-23). Forward
TJ Booth (fr. Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) and Waynick recorded four points apiece and Gross had a layup. The Ospreys tallied seven straight points for a 42-23 lead (1:24). Robinson's layup (1:08) and foul shot (0:09) ended the period and Stockton was up 42-26. Blamon poured in 18 points in the frame.
Center
Dan Brogan's (jr. Northvale, NJ/Northern Valley Old Tappan) layup at 17:39 in the second stanza cut the score to 47-30. Stockton registered the next seven points for a 24-point advantage (54-30) with 16:03 remaining. Woodard's layup (7:12) gave the Ospreys their biggest lead of the contest at 33 (74-41).
