Box Score JERSEY CITY, NJ – The Rowan University men's basketball team rallied for a 73-69 New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) win at New Jersey City University on Saturday.

Chris Gross (jr. Cranford, NJ/Roselle Catholic) totaled 13 points off the bench. Guard
Josh Borrelli (so. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) contributed with 11 points and guard
Kris O'Connor (jr. Mount Laurel, NJ/Paul VI) followed with 10. O'Connor also grabbed six boards. Center
Dan Brogan (jr. Northvale, NJ/Northern Valley Old Tappan) added nine points and blocked four shots. Forward
Mike Simpson (sr. Sicklerville, NJ/Winslow Twp.) produced eight assists and seven points.
The Profs are 6-1 overall with a 3-1 conference mark. The Gothic Knights drop to 2-5 on the season and 1-3 in the NJAC. For NJCU, forward Neville Joseph (sr. Newark, NJ/West Side) recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Drew Marley (sr. Maplewood, NJ/Columbia) collected 14 points and nine boards. Center Eddie Brown (sr. Newark, NJ/Newark East Side) and guard Khalid Muhammad (jr. Orange, NJ/Orange) each produced 10 points. Muhammad also registered five rebounds, five assists and three blocks.
The Gothic Knights started the game with a 19-2 run in 8:10. The Profs had eight straight points and trailed by nine (19-10) at 9:23. Borrelli and Gross each posted three points while forward
Skylar Moore (jr. Westville, NJ/Hempstead (NY)) had two in the spurt. Muhammad's layup made the score 26-12 with 7:19 remaining. Rowan followed with a 15-3 run to end the half with a two-point deficit (29-27). Robinson scored six points and Brogan had four. Gross and Simpson contributed with one basket apiece and forward
Daniel Waynick (sr. East Windsor, NJ/Hightstown) added a foul shot.
In the final stanza, NJCU led 44-34 after a three-pointer by Joseph (14:28) and Muhammad made two free throws (12:43). Rowan tied the score at 44 (10:45) with 10 unanswered points. Gross contributed with four points while guard
Darryl Robinson (jr. Franklin, NJ/Franklin) and Simpson each had three. The score was tied four more times before the Profs had the lead for good. Brown sank two foul shots, which knotted the score at 59 with 4:17 on the clock. Rowan had a nine point advantage (70-61) at 1:35 after an 11-2 surge. Ike Robinson scored five points while O'Connor and Borrelli each drained a three. The Gothic Knights pulled within five points (72-67) after Joseph's three-pointer at the 45 second mark. O'Connor made a free throw (0:14) and Joseph had a basket as time expired to end the game.
Rowan hosts The College of New Jersey on Wednesday, December 10 in an 8 p.m. conference game.
