Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University men's basketball team defeated Rutgers-Camden, 82-66 in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) contest on Wednesday evening.
The Profs are 5-1 overall and 2-1 in the conference. The Scarlet Raptors have a 3-2 record with a 1-2 NJAC mark. Forward
Ike Robinson (jr. Trenton, NJ/Conwell-Egan Catholic (PA)) scored 22 points. He was eight for 13 from the floor with three three-pointers and three for three from the line. Forward
Mike Simpson (sr. Sicklerville, NJ/Winslow Twp.) totaled 16 points and eight rebounds. Forward
Daniel Waynick (sr. East Windsor, NJ/Hightstown) recorded a double-double with a career-high 18 points and 11 boards. Guard
Kris O'Connor (jr. Mount Laurel, NJ/Paul VI) dished eight assists, which was a career mark.
For Rutgers-Camden, guard Wyatt Polk (sr. Haddonfield, NJ/Haddonfield Mem.) scored a game-high 26 points. He also grabbed 10 rebounds. Guard Julian Martin (jr. Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) and forward Matt O'Keefe (so. Sicklerville, NJ/Paul VI) each produced nine points.

Simpson sank two foul shots and the Profs led 33-23 with 3:49 on the clock. Martin made two points at the line (1:17) and the Scarlet Raptors trailed by five (34-29). Waynick hit a jump shot to end the scoring (1:01) for a seven-point lead (36-29) at the break.
In the second half, Rowan was up by 16 points (50-34) after Simpson's three-pointer. He drained another three at 12:27 to lead 57-40. Robinson nailed a jumper and the score was 61-49 (8:40). Polk had two free throws (7:34) and Rutgers-Camden pulled within eight points (61-53). Waynick recorded three straight layups and Gross had two foul shots to lead by 18 (75-57) with 2:42 left.
