ResultsGLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University men's swimming and diving team earned a 172-73 victory over visiting Pace University on Saturday afternoon.
The Profs improve to 7-0 while the Setters drop to 1-5. Rowan won the 400 medley (3:36.12) and 400 freestyle (3:15.97) relays. The medley relay included
Eric Emerson (so. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.),
Tyler Coe (jr. North Brunswick, NJ/North Brunswick Twp.),
Nick Marte (fr. Fair Lawn, NJ/Fair Lawn) and
Jesse Novak (so. Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan). Novak, Coe,
Patrick Myers (jr. Kennett Square, PA/Kennett) and
Eric Feuerstein (fr. Absecon, NJ/Holy Spirit) were on the freestyle relay.
John Tepper (fr. Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Atlantic County Institute of Technology) had first place performances in the 500 (4:54.14) and 1000 (10:00.11) freestyles.
Paul Long (so. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) won (1:47.60) the 200 free and
Colin Fisher (fr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) was the victor (56.54) in the 100 backstroke.
Brian Suatengco (fr. Toms River, NJ/Donovan Catholic) recorded a first place (1:00.30) in the 100 breaststroke and Coe came in second (1:00.33) followed by Myers, third (1:01.12).
In the 50 freestyle, Novak took first place (21.22),
Kyle Surette (jr. Martinsville, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) captured second (22.54) and Marte was third (22.74). Novak also finished first (53.08) in the 100 butterfly. Coe was the winner (49.15) in the 100 free and
Mike Simunek (so. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.) was first (2:11.74) in the 200 breaststroke.
John Morris (so. Bridgeton, NJ/Cumberland Reg.) was first in the one (302.10 points) and three-meter diving (264.38). He met the qualifying standard (275 points) for the one-meter board and must reach it once more to qualify for the NCAA diving regionals.
Ben Balesteri (so. Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Egg Harbor Twp.) was second (214.95) and
Killian O'Gorman (jr. Short Hills, NJ/Millburn) came in third (209.78) in the one-meter. Balesteri and O'Gorman finished second (233.10) and third (198.68) respectively on the three-meter board.
Connor Buck (jr. Eastampton, NJ/Rancocas Valley Reg.) had a second place (2:06.07) in the 200 butterfly and
Brad Updegraff (so. Frederick, MD/Walkersville) finished third (2:12.05). Fisher was the runner-up (4:25.61) in the 400 individual medley and Emerson came in third (4:27.39).
Rowan travels to The College of New Jersey for the Lions' Invitational from Friday, December 5-Sunday, December 7.
