ResultsGLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University men's swim team defeated Swarthmore College, 152-107 on Saturday afternoon.
The Profs remain unbeaten with a record of 6-0 and the Garnet have a 1-2 mark. Rowan finished first in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:38.59.
Jesse Novak (so. Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan),
Patrick Myers (jr. Kennett Square, PA/Kennett),
Connor Buck (jr. Eastampton, NJ/Rancocas Valley Reg.) and
Tyler Coe (jr. North Brunswick, NJ/North Brunswick Twp.) swam the relay.
The Profs had victories in eight individual events.
Steven Buzby (so. Linwood, NJ/Mainland Reg.) won the 1000 freestyle (10:23.19). Buck finished first in the 200 freestyle (1:48.80) and 400 individual medley (IM) (4:18.91). Myers had a first place (59.71) in the 100 breaststroke and
Brad Updegraff (so. Frederick, MD/Walkersville) had a victory (2:04.97) in the 200 butterfly.
Novak took first (47.18) in the 100 freestyle and second in the 100 backstroke (55.89) and 100 butterfly (54.86).
Mike Simunek (so. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.) had a first place (2:11.86) in the 200 breaststroke. The 500 freestyle was won by
Colin Fisher (fr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) in a time of 4:56.09. He also finished third in the 200 freestyle (1:49.92).
Brian Suatengco (fr. Toms River, NJ/Donovan Catholic) came in second (10:46.78) in the 1000 freestyle and third (2:09.37) in the butterfly.
Chris Boyle (so. Springfield, NJ/Seton Hall Prep) had a second place (1:49.62) in the 200 freestyle.
Paul Long (so. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) took second in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:00.84 and second in the 200 breaststroke in 2:13.68.
Nick Marte (fr. Fair Lawn, NJ/Fair Lawn) placed second in the 200 butterfly (209.37) and the 100 freestyle (50.22).
Eric Feuerstein (fr. Absecon, NJ/Holy Spirit) was second (22.58) in the 50 freestyle.
Luke Wister (so. Haddon Heights, NJ/Haddon Heights) and
Eric Emerson (so. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) finished second (2:00.88) and third (2:02.11) respectively in the 200 backstroke. Coe took third (2:14.54) in the 200 breaststroke.
