ResultsDALLAS, PA – The Rowan University men's swim team won 165-92 at Misericordia University on Saturday afternoon.
The Profs are 3-0 while the Cougars have a 0-2 mark. Rowan was victorious in the 400 medley (3:38.53) and 400 freestyle (3:19.48) relays. The medley relay included
Eric Emerson (so. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.),
Tyler Coe (jr. North Brunswick, NJ/North Brunswick Twp.),
Jesse Novak (so. Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) and
John Shellem (fr. Mount Laurel, NJ/Lenape).
John Tepper (fr. Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Atlantic County Institute of Technology),
Connor Buck (jr. Eastampton, NJ/Rancocas Valley Reg.),
Luke Wister (so. Haddon Heights, NJ/Haddon Heights) and Novak were on the freestyle relay.
The Profs won eight of the 12 individual events.
Steven Buzby (so. Linwood, NJ/Mainland Reg.) was first (10:16.18) in the 1000 freestyle.
Colin Fisher (fr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) had a winning time of 1:50.34 in the 200 freestyle. He was also third (2:04.45) in the 200 backstroke. Coe had a first place (59.29) in the 100 breaststroke and Shellem was the winner (2:04.07) in the 200 butterfly.
Kyle Surette (jr. Martinsville, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) took first (22.93) in the 50 freestyle. Novak touched the wall first (47.88) in the 100 freestyle.
Nick Marte (fr. Fair Lawn, NJ/Fair Lawn) was the victor (54.54) in the 100 butterfly and he took second (23.16) in the 50 freestyle.
Tepper won (5:01.01) the 500 freestyle and finished second (10:17.54) in the 1000 freestyle.
Chris Boyle (so. Springfield, NJ/Seton Hall Prep) had a third place (10:48.01) in the 1000 freestyle.
Paul Long (so. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) recorded a second place (1:52.28) in the 200 freestyle and he was third (5:14.09) in the 500 freestyle. Shellem had a time of 54.95 in the 100 butterfly for second place. Coe placed second (2:15.23) in the 200 breaststroke and
Brian Suatengco (fr. Toms River, NJ/Donovan Catholic) was third (2:15.38).
Buck was second (56.38) in the 100 backstroke and he finished third (56.26) in the 100 butterfly.
Brad Updegraff (so. Frederick, MD/Walkersville) touched second (2:08.19) in the 200 butterfly.
Patrick Myers (jr. Kennett Square, PA/Kennett) was the runner-up (50.28) in the 100 freestyle. Wister took second place (2:02.49) in the 200 backstroke.
Mike Simunek (so. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.) was third (1:01.88) in the 100 breaststroke and Emerson came in third (1:56.95) in the 200 freestyle.
Rowan returns to the pool on Wednesday, November 5 when it hosts William Paterson University at 6 p.m.
