Rutgers-Camden Men's Soccer Defeats Rowan, 1-0

Box Score CAMDEN, NJ – The Rutgers-Camden men's soccer team defeated Rowan University, 1-0 in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) contest on Wednesday night.

Forward Mike Ryan (so. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) scored the game-winner at 16:44 with a pass from back Joe Auleta (jr. Atco, NJ/Hammonton).  It was Ryan's 10th goal on the season. 

The Scarlet Raptors are undefeated with a 10-0 record and they are 2-0 in the conference.  This week, Rutgers-Camden is ranked first in the South Atlantic Region and third in the nation.  The Profs have a 6-3 record with a 0-2 NJAC mark.

Rutgers-Camden took 19 shots while Rowan had nine.  Goalkeeper Mike Randall (sr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.) had three saves for the shutout.  For the Profs, goalie Ryan Gill (sr. West Deptford, NJ/West Deptford) stopped four shots.

Rowan travels to FDU-Florham on Saturday, September 28 for an 11 a.m. nonconference game.
