Box Score VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – The Rowan University women's volleyball team dropped their season opener to Meredith College at the Virginia Wesleyan Invitational, 3-2 (16-25, 27-25, 25-17, 17-25, 15-13) this afternoon.
 
Sophomore Morgan Mende (Glen Rock, NJ/Glen Rock) recorded a team-high 18 kills to lead Rowan. Freshman Erica O'Hagan (Cedar Grove, NJ/Cedar Grove) had 12 kills and eight digs in her first collegiate match. Senior Casey Grasso (Wilmington, DE/Alexis I. duPont) accumulated 23 digs and converted four service aces in the five set match.
 
Rowan will face host Virginia Wesleyan later today.
