Results

WAYNE, NJ – The Rowan University women's swimming and diving team won 157-120 at William Paterson University in a conference meet on Wednesday night.  The Profs are 4-0 on the season. 

Rowan took first place in the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays with times of 1:59.93 and 4:00.47 respectively.  The medley relay consisted of Brittany Sims (fr. Stratford, NJ/Sterling), Rikki Berk (so. Wayne, NJ/Wayne Hills), Christine Gustafson (fr. Clifton, NJ/Clifton) and Julie Sheehan (fr. Haddonfield, NJ/Haddonfield Mem.).  Nicole Vick (jr. Sewell, NJ/Clearview Reg.), Sheehan, Leanne Zaug (jr. Florham Park, NJ/Hanover Park) and Allison Schneider (sr. Cranford, NJ/Cranford) made up the free relay.

Schneider finished first in the 200 freestyle (2:04.07) and 200 individual medley (2:22.21).  Sheehan was the winner in the 50 (26.35) and 100 (57.51) freestyles. Vick took first (2:23.44) in the 200 backstroke.  Rachel Anzano (jr. Ridgewood, NJ/Ridgewood) won the one (183.45 points) and three (225.25 points) meter diving.  

Sims swam 1:06.58 in the 100 backstroke for first place.  Gustafson finished first in the 100 (1:04.14) and 200 (2:24.15) butterflies.  Alyssa Schaefer (jr. Ringwood, NJ/DePaul Catholic) won the 500 freestyle (5:45.59) and was second (2:28.23) in the 200 butterfly.  Zaug came in second (27.13) in the 50 free.  

Jessica Hood (so. Westampton, NJ/Rancocas Valley Reg.) had a second place (12:41.70) in the 1000 freestyle.  In the 100 breaststroke, Berk was second (1:15.18) followed by Juliana Givens (fr. Haddon Heights, NJ/Haddon Heights), third (1:16.33). Sara Seidman (so. Voorhees, NJ/Eastern Reg.) took third in the 100 backstroke (1:07.76).  

Next, Rowan is at home on Saturday, November 9 against St. Francis College at 1 p.m.
