WAYNE, NJ – The Rowan University men's swimming and diving team defeated conference opponent William Paterson University, 161-122 on Wednesday night.  The Profs are undefeated with a 4-0 record.

The Profs' 200 medley relay of Kyle DeVore (fr. Annapolis, MD/South River), Mike Simunek (fr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.), Chris Cannizzaro (jr. Cedar Grove, NJ/St. Peter's Prep) and Jesse Novak (fr. Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) had a winning time of 1:41.55.  Pat Malone (sr. Sewell, NJ/Gloucester Catholic), Novak, Mike Demarest (sr. Galloway, NJ/Absegami) and Troy Cervini (jr. Vineland, NJ/Vineland) came in first in the 400 freestyle relay (3:18.58).

Malone won the 200 freestyle (1:47.97) and 100 butterfly (52.87).  Cervini took first place (22.63) in the 50 free and Larry Dow (sr. Alexandria, VA/T.C. Williams) was second (22.76).  Novak finished first in the 100 freestyle (47.95). 

DeVore took first in the 100 (55.12) backstroke.  Tylar Warfle (fr. Vineland, NJ/Vineland) won the 1000 freestyle (10:52.86) and Steven Buzby (fr. Linwood, NJ/Mainland Reg.) was first in the 500 free (5:01.79).  Zac Wister (jr. Haddon Heights, NJ/Haddon Heights) swam 2:03.57 in the 200 backstroke for first place.  John Morris (fr. Bridgeton, NJ/Cumberland Reg.) won the one (276.10 points) and three (225.90 points) meter diving. 

Cannizzaro was the winner in the 200 butterfly (2:05.64) while Paul Long (fr. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) took first in the 200 breaststroke (2:20.09).  In the 100 breaststroke, Simunek was first (1:02.87) followed by Jon Parise (fr. Erial, NJ/Timber Creek Reg.), second (1:04.45) and Liam Tully (jr. Cedar Grove, NJ/St. Peter's Prep), third (1:07.46).  Simunek also won the 200 individual medley (2:04.50). 

Next, Rowan hosts St. Francis College on Saturday, November 9 at 1 p.m.
