GLASSBORO NJ – The Rowan University women's swim team defeated Misericordia University, 158-103 on Saturday afternoon.  The Profs are undefeated with a 3-0 record.

Rowan won the 400 freestyle relay (3:49.15) and finished second in the 200 medley relay (1:55.27).  The free relay included Julie Sheehan (fr. Haddonfield, NJ/Haddonfield Mem.), Victoria Grimsgaard (so. Eatontown, NJ/Monmouth Reg.), Nicole Vick (jr. Sewell, NJ/Clearview Reg.) and Lauren Grajek (sr. Freehold, NJ/Freehold Twp.).  The medley relay consisted of Grajek, Oliva Wojtowicz (so. Centreville, MD/Queen Anne's County), Christine Gustafson (fr. Clifton, NJ/Clifton) and Grimsgaard.

Allison Schneider (sr. Cranford, NJ/Cranford) took first place in the 200 (2:02.22) and 1000 (11:15.57) freestyles.  She also came in third in the 200 individual medley (2:21.36).  Gustafson was the winner in the 200 butterfly (2:22.71).  Grimsgaard swam 24.48 in the 50 free for first place and Sheehan was second (26.23).  In the 100 freestyle, Grimsgaard took first (54.82) and she was second in the 100 butterfly (1:03.45).  Wojtowicz was the winner in the 200 individual medley (2:18.78).  

Grajek won the 200 backstroke (2:15.55) and she came in second in the 100 backstroke (1:02.92).  Julia DelNero (so. Spring Lake Heights, NJ/Red Bank Catholic) took first (5:29.55) in the 500 freestyle, Vick was second (5:32.01) and Adrienne Bush (sr. Silver Spring, MD/James Hubert Blaek) was third (5:39.93).  In the 1000 freestyle, DelNero finished second 11:25.89 followed by Bush, third (11:30.85).  Rikki Berk (so. Wayne, NJ/Wayne Hills) finished second in the 100 breaststroke (1:12.70) and 200 individual medley (2:19.92).  Sam Wahl (so. Collingswood, NJ/Collingswood) was second (2:34.97) in the 200 breaststroke and Wojtowicz was third (2:35.98).  Kelly Gallagher (so. Haddon Twp., NJ/Haddon Twp.) had a third place in the 100 backstroke (1:05.51). 

Rowan is home again on Saturday, November 9 against St. Francis College at 1 p.m.
