Volleyball Drops Both Matches On Day One of Neumann Invitational

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ASTON, PA – Rowan University lost both of its matches on Friday night at the Neumann University Invitational. The Profs fell to Franklin & Marshall College, 3-0 and Catholic University, 3-0.

Franklin & Marshall won with set scores of 25-17, 25-15 and 25-15. Rowan middle hitter Elaina Hansen (sr. Monroe Twp., NJ/Monroe Twp.) recorded six kills for the Profs. Outside hitter Danielle Havlicek (so. Midland Park, NJ/Midland Park) had five kills and 12 digs. Setter Rebecca Dantonio (fr. Glen Mills, NJ/Garnet Valley) tallied 18 assists along with eight digs. Libero Casey Grasso (sr. Wilmington, DE/Alexis I. duPont) collected 13 digs.

The set scores against Catholic were 25-18, 25-23 and 25-20. For the Profs, middle hitter Morgan Mende (so. Glen Rock, NJ/Glen Rock) had 13 kills for a .344 hitting percentage. Outside hitter Erica O'Hagan (fr. Cedar Grove, NJ/Cedar Grove) added 10 kills, while Dantonio collected 36 assists and seven digs. Havlicek produced nine kills along with 10 digs and Grasso totaled 20 digs.

Rowan (13-8) will face Ursinus College and Penn State-Behrend on Saturday, October 12 at the Neumann Invitational.
