DALLAS, PA  – The Rowan University women’s swim team won 153.5-105.5 at Misericordia University on Saturday afternoon.

The Profs have a 3-4 record while the Cougars are 1-4 overall.  Rowan won the 400 freestyle relay in 3:49.23 with Leanne Zaug (so. Florham Pak, NJ/Hanover Park), Olivia Graham (fr. Montclair, NJ/Montclair), Gigi Russo (so. Rumson, NJ/Rumson-Fair Haven Reg.) and Charlene Gustafson (jr. Clifton, NJ/Clifton).  The 200 medley relay came in second with a time of 1:56.20.  The medley relay included Lindsey Raleigh (sr. Toms River, NJ/Toms River S.), Olivia Wojtowicz (fr. Centreville, MD/Queen Anne’s County), Gustafson and Russo.

Allison Schneider (jr. Cranford, NJ/Cranford) had first places in the 200 (2:02.95), 500 (5:36.60) and 1000 (11:17.39) freestyles.  Julia DelNero (fr. Spring Lakes Heights, NJ/Red Bank Catholic) came in second (11:28.84) in the 1000 freestyle and Adrienne Bush (jr. Silver Spring, MD/James Hubert Blake) was third (11:43.06).  Bush was also third (5:43.39) in the 500 freestyle.  

In the 50 free, Russo, Graham and Zaug were first (25.68), second (26.04) and third (26.40) respectively.  Zaug was the winner in the 100 freestyle (56.70) while Russo was second (57.33) followed by Graham third (57.41).  Abby Grasso (jr. Toms River, NJ/Toms River E.) swam 2:24.64 in the 200 butterfly for first place.   

Kelly Gallagher (fr. Haddon Twp., NJ/Haddon Twp.) was the winner in the 100 (1:04.04) and 200 (2:16.81) backstrokes.  She finished third (2:21.22) in the 200 individual medley.  Lauren Grajek (jr. Freehold, NJ/Freehold Twp.) took second in the 100 (1:04.33) and 200 (2:19.23) backstrokes.  Graham and Nicole Vick (so. Sewell, NJ/Clearview Reg.) were second (2:03.13) and third (2:08.39) respectively in the 200 freestyle.

Wojtowicz had a third place (1:13.74) in the 100 breaststroke.  She was fourth in the 200 breaststroke (2:40.95) and 200 individual medley (2:24.22).  Alyssa Schaefer (so. Ringwood, NJ/DePaul Catholic) came in third (2:29.11) in the 200 butterfly.  Sara Seidman (fr. Voorhees, NJ/Eastern Reg.) finished third (2:21.30) in the 200 backstroke.  

Next week, Rowan hosts William Paterson University on Saturday, November 10 at 1 p.m. in the first conference meet of the season.
