PHOENIXVILLE, PA – The Rowan University women’s volleyball team had a 3-0 shutout over Valley Forge Christian College on Tuesday night.

Rowan won with set scores of 25-7, 25-5 and 25-4. The Profs improve to 3-0, while the Patriots have a 0-3 record.

Middle blocker Nikki Binetti (so. Brick, NJ/Brick Twp.) led the way with eight kills and one block. Outside hitters/middle blockers Dakota Oeskovic (so. Pine Beach, NJ/Toms River S.) and Krissy Collins (so. Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) registered seven kills apiece. Libero Lauren Ruffalo (so. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) produced 11 digs, while defensive specialist Marissa Micciche (so. Kinnelon, NJ/Kinnelon) had eight.

Defensive specialist Sarah Betancourt (sr. Harrington Park, NJ/Northern Valley Old Tappan) compiled four service aces. Setter Brooke Hassan (fr. Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) collected 11 assists and setter Kelsey Donovan (so. Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) had nine. Defensive specialist Nicole Ciandella (so. Hoboken, NJ/Roselle Catholic) contributed with four assists and three service aces.

Rowan hosts Keystone College on Thursday, September 8 at 7 p.m.
