GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women’s volleyball team had a 3-2 victory over Rutgers-Camden in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) match on Thursday night.
The Profs improve to 6-6 overall and 2-2 in the conference. The Scarlet Raptors have an 8-13 record with a 0-3 NJAC mark. The set scores were 25-19, 25-22, 16-25, 21-25 and 15-13.
Rowan was led by outside hitter/middle blocker Sarah Hanrahan (fr. Montvale, NJ/Pascack Hills) with nine kills, eight digs, four service aces and five blocks. Outside hitter/middle blocker Krissy Collins (so. Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) posted nine kills, while outside hitter/middle blocker Dakota Oeskovic (so. Pine Beach, NJ/Toms River S.) had five. Libero Lauren Ruffalo (so. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) collected 26 digs. Setter Kelsey Donovan (so. Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) totaled 19 assists and 15 digs. Defensive specialist Nicole Ciandella (so. Hoboken, NJ/Roselle Catholic) chipped in with 16 digs.
For Rutgers-Camden, middle hitter Morgan Halbruner (jr. Voorhees, NJ/Eastern Reg.) compiled a match-high 16 kills and two solo blocks. Middle hitter Kristin Koloski (jr. Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson) registered 13 kills and two service aces. Outside hitter Rebecca Brown (jr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.) contributed with seven kills, 12 digs and three service aces. Libero Catherine Tadeja (jr. Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) tallied 23 digs and outside hitter Olivia Murphy (jr. Somerdale, NJ/Sterling) had 22. Setter Stephanie Miller (jr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.) added 38 assists and 13 digs. Defensive specialist Aubrey Hassan (jr. Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) had 11 digs.
Rowan travels to Dover, DE for a tri-match on Saturday, October 1. The Profs play Immaculata University at 1 p.m. and host Wesley College at 3 p.m.
