GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women’s volleyball team defeated Penn State Brandywine, 3-0 in a nonconference match on Tuesday night.

The Profs remain undefeated with a 4-0 mark. The Lions have a 4-3 record. The set scores were 26-24, 25-20 and 25-16.

Rowan was led by outside hitters/middle blockers Dakota Oeskovic (so. Pine Beach, NJ/Toms River S.) and Krissy Collins (so. Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) with 12 kills apiece. Middle blocker Sarah Hanrahan (fr. Montvale, NJ/Pascack Hills) registered six kills. Setter Kelsey Donovan (so. Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) compiled 25 assists and nine digs. Setter Brooke Hassan (fr. Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) added 10 assists and seven digs. Libero Lauren Ruffalo (so. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) collected a match-high 28 digs. Defensive specialist Casey Grasso (so. Wilmington, DE/Alexis I. duPont) contributed with eight digs and two service aces.

For Penn State Brandywine, outside hitter Brandy Flowers posted eight kills and 15 digs. Middle hitter Amanda Rasley had six kills. Libero Alexandra Vitale recorded 16 digs, while outside hitter Melanie Tyson had 10. Setter Kate Cowan totaled five kills, 18 assists and 10 digs.

Rowan begins its conference schedule at Richard Stockton College on Thursday, September 15 at 7 p.m.
