OWINGS MILLS, MD – Midfielder Nina Fragoso scored the winning goal for the Rowan University women’s soccer team in a 1-0 victory at Stevenson University.

Fragoso (jr. Franklinville, NJ/Delsea Reg.) recorded the game-winner at 56:04.  She had a shot that hit a defender’s back that went into the Mustangs’ net.  It was her third goal on the season.

Rowan (8-3) took seven shots while Stevenson (8-4-2) had five.  This week, the Mustangs were ranked eighth in the South Atlantic Region.  Goalkeeper Lyndsie Bernardini (jr. Elmer, NJ/A.P. Schalick) made two saves for her fourth shutout.  For Stevenson, goalkeeper Brittany Ross (sr. Millersville, MD/Severna Park) stopped two shots.

Next week, Rowan hosts conference opponent Ramapo College on Wednesday, October 12 at 7 p.m.
