EWING, NJ – The Rowan University diving team competed on the first day of The College of New Jersey Invitational on Friday night.

Sam Rottkamp (jr. Bridgeton, NJ/Cumberland Reg.) won the women’s one meter diving (11 dives) with a score of 435.83. Catherine Anzano (so. Ridgewood, NJ/Ridgewood) and Kylie O’Rourke (so. N. Cape May, NJ/Lower Cape May Reg.) finished 10th (297.68 points) and 11th (291.90 points) respectively. In the one meter diving (six dives), Rottkamp placed fourth with 267.45 points. Anzano captured 10th (193.43 points). O’Rourke was 12th (169.35 points) followed by Michelle Woods (fr. Blackwood, NJ/Highland Reg.), 13th (157.35 points).

Mark Balesteri (sr. Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Egg Harbor Twp.) took sixth place in the men’s three meter diving (11 dives) with 427.50 points. Kyle Bianchini (sr. Blackwood, NJ/Highland Reg.) came in seventh with 383.70 points. In the three meter diving (six dives), Balesteri was sixth (288.98 points), while Bianchini had an eighth place finish (249.75 points).

The three-day meet continues on Saturday, December 4 at 2:30 p.m.
