TCNJ Wins 2-1 In Overtime Against Rowan

EWING, NJ – The College of New Jersey men’s soccer team won 2-1 in two overtimes against Rowan University in the final regular season conference game on Wednesday night.

Back Mike Razzoli (sr. Parlin, NJ/Christian Brothers Academy) scored the game-winner with 14 seconds left in the second overtime. He lifted a shot from the right side into the upper left corner.

The Lions are 9-5-3 overall and 7-1-1 in the conference for first place. The Profs finish the season with a 6-12-2 record and a 2-7 NJAC mark.

Rowan went up 1-0 on a goal by midfielder Ryan Gordon (so. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill W.) at 16:14. Gordon followed up a shot and knocked in the ball after goalkeeper Chris Kulick (sr. Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central.) had a save. Midfielder Tyler Cignarella (so. Pennington, NJ/Hopewell Valley) tied the score at 65:21. Back Phillip Cunha’s (sr. Milford, NJ/Immaculata) shot hit the crossbar then Cignarella put the ball into the back of the net.

TCNJ compiled 23 shots and Rowan took eight. Kulick ended the game with three saves. For the Profs, goalie Charlie Cunliffe (sr. Lakewood, NJ/Lakewood) stopped seven shots.
