SAN ANTONIO, TX – The Rowan University men’s soccer team had a 1-0 victory over Southwestern University on Friday night. The game was played at Trinity University in San Antonio, TX.

Rowan improves to 5-2-1, while Southwestern has a 4-4 record. After a scoreless first half, Profs’ forward Frank Renna (so. Paramus, NJ/Paramus) had an unassisted goal at 73:36. It was his first goal of the season.

Southwestern took 25 shots, while Rowan had nine. Profs’ goalkeeper Charlie Cunliffe (jr. Lakewood, NJ/Lakewood) made nine saves for his second shutout of the year. Goalkeeper Nick Pierce stopped one shot for the Pirates.

Rowan faces Trinity University (TX) in San Antonio on Saturday, September 26 at 8 p.m.
