Right-hander Jamie Minix (so. Clarksboro, NJ/Kingsway Reg.) was the winning pitcher in all three of the softball team’s victories last week. Versus Kean University (Apr. 17), she threw seven innings, allowing just two hits and striking out five hitters. In the first game against Rutgers-Camden (Apr. 18), she pitched a no-hitter. Minix tossed the first four innings in the second game and only surrendered one hit. For her performance, she collected New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Pitcher of the Week honors for the second consecutive week. She has a 12-3 record with a 1.23 ERA. Minix is first on the squad in wins (12), ERA, strikeouts (60) and opponent’s batting average (.171). She has five shutouts this year.
