Lindsey-Kate Smith

Lindsey-Kate Smith enters her eighth season as assistant coach with the Rowan women’s lacrosse program in 2024, having become a full-time coach in 2021.
 
She joined the Profs after serving as an assistant coach at the Florida Institute of Technology for two seasons, 2014 to 2016. The Panthers, a Division II program, went 17-16 during those years and qualified for the Sunshine State Conference tournament in both.
 
Smith began her coaching career serving on the staff at her alma mater, Saint Joseph’s University, first as a graduate assistant (2008-10) and then as assistant coach (2010-12), helping the Hawks reach the Atlantic 10 Championship game in 2009.
 
An Atlantic 10 All-Conference Second Team honoree as a senior, Smith, formerly McCool, remains is Saint Joseph's all-time leader with 151 career ground balls. A two-time co-captain and the team’s Most Outstanding Performer in 2008, she led the Hawks in assists all four seasons and currently ranks third in career assists with 65.
 
Smith earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology from Saint Joseph’s in 2008 and a master’s in applied behavior analysis in 2010. She resides in her hometown of Marlton, NJ, with her husband, Tim, and daughters Kyler-Rae and Sloane.
