Jean Gyurics is in her third season as an assistant women’s basketball coach at Rowan University.
Previously, Gyurics served as the head girls’ basketball coach at Winslow Township High School (2012-14), where she led the Eagles to two playoff appearances. She was also at the helm at Winslow Township from 2000-05 and the Eagles qualified for the postseason four times.
Gyurics was on the staff at Stockton University from 2007-12 and helped guide the Ospreys to the 2012 Eastern College Athletic Conference Metro Championship. She was the head coach at Rutgers-Camden for the 2006-07 season. Gyurics has also been a youth coach for numerous organizations.
Gyurics graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a degree in health and physical education. She played for the Warriors from 1975-79. Gyurics later earned a certification as an exercise/fitness specialist from Springfield College.
Gyurics is a health and physical education teacher at Winslow Township High School.
