Anyssa Sanchez is in her first season as an assistant coach on the Rowan University women’s basketball staff.
 
A guard, she played four seasons for the Profs from 2013-17.  Her senior year, Sanchez led the team in scoring (17.7 ppg) and rebounding (7.6 rpg).  She was also first in field goal percentage (.521) and steals (75).  
 
Sanchez earned Women’s Basketball Coaches Association All-America honorable mention.  The team captain was named to the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) All-Conference first team and received D3hoops.com All-Atlantic Region third team honors.  Sanchez was chosen the Albert J. Carino Girls Basketball Club of South Jersey College Player of the Year.  
 
She was a member of the NJAC All-Conference second team her sophomore season and received honorable her junior year.  Sanchez finished her career with 1,242 points and 594 rebounds.  
 
She played two seasons for the Santeras De Aguada team in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional Femenino, which is the top professional women’s basketball league in Puerto Rico.  Sanchez received the team’s Sixth Man Award.
