Walter Gottrell has worked with the Rowan men’s soccer program since the 2022 season, serving as a consultant with the goalkeepers.
He was the director of goalkeeping for The Sports Factory/TSF Academy from 2005 to 2019, overseeing training while establishing training for the Academy goalkeepers and clients of The Sports Factory. He also was the owner of the Keepers Advantage Goalkeeper Club from 1990 to 2005.
Gottrell played for Glassboro State and was a three-time All-NJAC selection. The goalkeeper earned All-NJAC Second Team honors in 1980 and 1981 and received Honorable Mention in 1979. His career record was 57-6-4 and he still owns the school records for wins and shutouts in a career with 43.
