Don Norton became an assistant men’s soccer coach at Rowan University in 2009.
Prior to Rowan, Norton spent seven seasons as the assistant men’s soccer coach at Haverford College. Over the past 21 years, he also spent time as a men’s assistant coach at Swarthmore College, Richard Stockton College and the University of Pennsylvania.
Norton holds several certifications including: a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) National “A” License, National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) National Premier Diploma, Football Association of Ireland National “A” License, Union of European Football Association’s National “A” License and a Scottish Football Association National “A” Certificate. Norton serves as a USSF coaching school instructor in New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania. He is an associate national staff coach for the NSCAA. He has written training articles that were published in Success in Soccer, Soccer New England, Southern Soccer Scene, NSCAA Journal and Soccer America.
He is the Director of Coaching for the Highland/New Jersey Soccer Academy 04 Soccer Club. In 1980, Norton received his bachelor’s degree from Gettysburg College. He earned his master’s degree at Rowan in 1985.
