Dan Gilmore

Dan Gilmore has been the Director of Athletics at Rowan University since 2012.

Gilmore was the head men's soccer coach at the University from 1976-2013. He compiled an overall record of 559-184-59 for a .734 winning percentage. Gilmore collected his 500th victory in a 3-2 win over Neumann College on October 15, 2007. He is one of only 12 coaches in NCAA history to record 500 wins in a career. Gilmore ended his tenure in seventh place on the all-time victories list among all divisions and fifth in Division III.

Under Gilmore’s guidance, the Profs won the national title in 1981 and 1990. In 1979 and 2000, Rowan finished second in the nation and had third place finishes in 1980, 1985 and 1998. The Profs had a 32-21-2 record in the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament in 24 appearances. Rowan recorded 13 New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championships.
 
Gilmore was selected the NJAC Coach of the Year nine times. Two Prof players were selected the Intercollegiate Soccer Association of America Division III Player of the Year, one was tabbed Goalkeeper of the Year and 17 were named All-American. He served on various NCAA tournament selection and postseason honors committees.
