SALEM, VA -- Rowan battles top-overall seed Virginia Wesleyan on Thursday morning at 11 a.m. in the opening game of the 2026 NCAA Division III World Series at the Moyer Sports Complex in Salem, Virginia.

The No. 8 Profs (42-9), winners of the New Jersey Athletic Conference, take on the Marlins, who currently stand at 50-0 out of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC).

Rowan traveled to Marshall, Texas for the NCAA Regional, securing two must-win games on the final day over the host East Texas Baptist Tigers. From there, the Profs took care of business in the NCAA Super Regional round, taking down Colby in the best-of-three series to punch its ticket to a fourth-straight Division III World Series, a program record. This marks the 10th trip to the World Series for the Profs.

The Marlins, last season's national runners-up, won its 17th ODAC Championship en route to regional and super regional wins at home to book its trip to the World Series for the third time in the last four seasons.

Other matchups on Thursday include No. 5 Redlands at No. 4 Linfield, No. 7 Belhaven at No. 2 Trine and No. 6 Mount Union at No. 3 Simpson.

Double elimination play continues through May 31st with the best-of-three championship series concluding on June 3rd.
