Brown's National Championship in the High Jump Spearheads Day 2 of NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship

LA CROSSE, WI -- David Brown became Rowan's second national champion in the high jump to highlight day two of the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Wisconsin-La Crosse.

Brown hit a PR with top effort of 2.15 meters to lead three other Profs in earning All-American honors. He is the third Rowan Student-athlete in as many years to be a national champion and 43rd all-time in program history. Noah Wampole was third (2.12 meters) and Jamile Gantt was fourth (2.09 meters) to earn first-team All-American. Damarion Potts earned second-team honors with his 14th place finish (2.03 meters).

Jason Agyemang clocked in a PR and the top time in the 110 meter hurdles prelims (13.72), which was also a meet record. Agyemang joins Kwaku Nkrumah (13.88) in the finals tomorrow. Anaias Hughes was 12th (14.42) and Val Augustin was 15th (14.63) as the duo garnered second-team All-America accolades.

The 4x100 relay of Joudou Diawara, Evan Corcoran, Elijah Hendricks, and Rajahn Dixon hit a season-best time (40.01) in the preliminaries and qualified for tomorrow's final.

Corcoran ran his best time in the 100 meter prelims (10.39) to advance to the finals while Dixon (10.53) was 13th (Second-team All-American).

In the 800 meter prelims, Dallas Hohney (1:50.46) was ninth in the prelims and will race in the finals. Teddy Wilson (1:50.90) just missed the top nine spots, finishing 11th in earning second-team All-American.

On the women's side, Nyla Jones finished 11th in the 100 meter hurdles prelims, two spots out of qualification for the finals, giving the sophomore her a second-straight All-American honor in the event (Second team).

The men's team sits in fourth place with 21 points, trailing third-place Central (22 points). Host Wisconsin-La Crosse leads (36 points) second-place Wisconsin-Oshkosh (25 points) for the top spot. The women's squad will have four competitors in action on Saturday looking to score team points.
