GLASSBORO, NJ -- #17 Softball will take on St. Thomas (Texas) to begin the 2026 NCAA Division III Softball Tournament as selections and regional pairings were announced on Monday.

The Profs, who are making its 32nd appearance all time in the national tournament and fourth in as many seasons, will battle the Celts, out of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC), at the regional host East Texas Baptist on Thursday. First pitch is TBA. Rowan returns to Marshall, Texas, home of ETBU for the first time since back-to-back appearances in the Division III Championship Tournament in 2023 and 2024. The Profs added a third-straight championship tournament appearance last season and this year look to make it a fourth.
Rowan won its 14th NJAC Championship and third consecutive to punch its ticket back to the national stage. St. Thomas earned its first-ever at-large bid after falling in the SCAC Finals.
The host Tigers will take on Denison in Thursday's other first-round matchup. The double elimination tournament goes through Saturday with the advancing team moving on to the NCAA Super Regional the following weekend. Eight NCAA Super Regional winners will then convene at the NCAA Championship Tournament which takes place May 28-June 3 at Moyer Park in Salem, Virginia.
