GLASSBORO, NJ - #23 Rowan scored six unanswered goals in the third quarter to earn a 15-7 win over Ursinus in women's lacrosse action.
Elaina Corson scored four goals and
Trish Gillen and
Alexis Lowry had three apiece as the Profs improved to 2-1.

Corson and Lowry each also added two assists and
Madison Rothwein scored twice for the Profs.

Lowry had three of her goals during that six-goal spurt in the third quarter. Leading by only 5-4 at the start of the period, Rothwein netted the first just one minute in and Lowry followed with a free-position goal. Gillen scored and then Lowry tallied two in a row, with the second assisted by
Fiona Lockhart. Lockhart finished off the quarter as she scored with :40 to play, which was set up by Gillen.

The Profs added to the advantage in the fourth with two goals from Corson and single goals by Rothwein and
Olivia Wisor.

The Profs took a 2-1 lead in the opening quarter on goals by Corson, assisted by Lowry, and then one from
Jess Hoffmaster, which was assisted by Corson.

Ursinus (3-1) took a brief lead, 3-2, in the second quarter until Corson scored after teaming up again with Lowry. Gillen then scored back-to-back goals, with the second assisted by Corson as Rowan regained the lead, 5-3. Ursinus got one back and the teams went into halftime with the Profs on top, 5-4.

Rowan will visit #14 Stevens on Saturday for a 1 p.m. game and then return home on Wednesday, March 11 to host #17 Scranton at 4 p.m.
