Rowan Embarks on Project to Install LED Video Scoreboards at Athletics Facilities

GLASSBORO, NJ – Rowan Athletics is excited to announce the installation of six LED Video Scoreboards which will provide a significant enhancement to the game-day experience at its five venues – Coach Richard Wackar Stadium, Esbjornson Gym (2), the Rowan Baseball Field, the Rowan Softball Field and the Rowan Soccer and Lacrosse Complex.

Rowan Athletics is partnering with Digital Scoreboards of Columbia, IL, for the project which is slated to be completed for the 2026-27 seasons of competition for baseball, basketball, field hockey, football, lacrosse, soccer and softball.

"We are overjoyed to provide a first-class experience for our student-athletes and equally excited for our fans to enjoy a heightened game-day experience that mirrors Division I programs across the country," said director of athletics Shawn Tucker. "Digital Scoreboards is a nationally-recognized organization that has produced stellar venue displays on all levels. We are thrilled to not only have them as a service provider, but as a premier corporate partner on this project. Great days are ahead for Rowan Athletics!"

The LED Video Scoreboards will replace the existing scoreboards and feature high-quality visuals and  enhanced audio experience. The video features of the boards will allow for  game information and statistics, hype videos, player and team highlights, in-game replays and other dynamic content.

The in-game experience for Profs' fans will also be enriched with crowd prompts, animations, promotions and contests. The boards will also allow for recognition of community groups and youth teams.

The video scoreboards are designed to ensure maximum visibility, even from a distance, due to the high contrast and eye-catching designs. The largest one (35' x 22') will be installed in Coach Wackar Stadium with the same size boards (26' x 10'). being used at the soccer/lacrosse, baseball and softball fields. There will be two hanging boards (17' x 10', 9' x 5') in Esby Gym.

These scoreboards will afford additional opportunities for Rowan Athletics to increase corporate sponsorship opportunities and continue to enhance the Profs' brand.

Rowan's new video scoreboards are another example of the commitment to bettering the holistic student-athlete and fan experience. Support of these initiatives can be done through the "There Must Be More Champions Fund".
