GLASSBORO, NJ -
Evan Vilaboy's first-half goal held up as the gamewinner, and
Mike Moore posted the shutout, as #4 Rowan edged Ramapo, 1-0, in an NJAC men's soccer matchup. With that, the Profs remain unbeaten at 8-0-2 (2-0-1).
Vilaboy scored in the 35th minute to record his team-best seventh goal of the year, and his fourth gamewinner.
Greg Ferreira sent a long ball from the Profs' defensive end to D.J. Mosley. He carried it into the box and sent a short cross to Vilaboy, who put it into the open net from close range.
It marked the second game in a row that the junior transfer had the lone goal in a Profs' 1-0 win.
Moore made three saves to notch his sixth shutout as he faced five Ramapo (6-3-2; 1-1-1) shots, while Rowan directed 16 towards the Ramapo goal. Moore has only allowed one goal by the opponents since September 9, a stretch of seven matches.
Rowan heads on the road on Saturday to visit new conference member New Paltz.
