#3 Men's Soccer Celebrates Senior Day with 3-0 Win Over Kean

GLASSBORO, NJ- Christian McGillen had a goal and assist as #3 Rowan shut out Kean, 3-0, on the Profs' men's soccer Senior Day, while remaining unbeaten in 12 matches. Rowan is 9-0-3 and 3-0-2 in the NJAC.

The Profs' nine seniors were honored prior to the match - Carill Asanji, Greg Ferreira, Angus Kenson, Cameron Lamptey, Christian McGillen, Luke McNamee, Franck Onguene, Daunte Saunchez, and Evan Vilaboy.

Tanner Grozinski scored the first goal in the 28th minute when a long ball was sent into the far side of the box. Darrin Doyle headed it and it was tipped by Kean's goalkeeper Juan Orozco, but Grozinski was there in front to knock the ball into the open side of the net.

The Profs upped the lead to 2-0 immediately in the second half, when DJ Mosley sent a pass to Evan Vilaboy who one-touched it to McGillen on the left. The senior then connected from five yards out into the right corner of the net at 45:57 for the 2-0 lead.

Rowan finished the scoring in the 61st minute as McGillen took a corner kick and sent it to Greg Ferreira who headed it in at the far post. It was the senior defender's first goal of the year.

Mike Moore made one save and combined for the shutout with C.J. Norton and Shane Merklein for the eighth time this year that the Profs have kept their opponents without a goal. Rowan held a decisive 21-3 advantage in shots.

The Profs will head back on the road on Wednesday to take on rival Stockton in a 7 p.m. match
